Create your own show-stopping prom gown in the Luxe Beaded Lace Edition of the Sewing With Socialite: Prom Dress Experience, led by Chicago fashion designer Veronica Ariel. This 8-week, beginner-friendly course focuses on building a couture-inspired gown using premium beaded lace, 3D appliqués, and refined finishing techniques.

The teaching structure remains approachable for beginners, but the materials and embellishments reflect a luxury gown valued at $2,500+. Students will follow Veronica Ariel’s beaded-lace template (no alterations or design changes permitted). Participants may choose their fabric color and appliqué tone for a personalized finish.

This class is ideal for students whose prom dates are mid-May or later. Students with April prom dates are not eligible due to class completion timing.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Working with beaded lace, tulle, and delicate fabrics

  • Constructing a fitted mermaid gown base

  • Applying 3D lace, beadwork, and embellishments

  • Installing invisible zippers and linings

  • Couture-level hemming, pressing, and finishing techniques
